Not sure where to start? You don't have to figure it out alone.
If you're struggling but unsure what kind of support you need, this one-off consultation can help.
Together we'll explore what's been happening for you, discuss your options, and develop a personalized plan for your next steps—whether that's therapy with me or another service, you’ll develop a clearer understanding of what you need and how to get it.
What we'll do
During our consultation we'll:
Explore your current concerns.
Clarify your goals.
Discuss the support options available.
Create a practical plan for your next steps.
If counselling with me seems appropriate, we can discuss that.
If another service is likely to be a better fit, I'll help you understand your options and how to access them.
This consultation is designed to help you navigate your options, as the mental health landscape can be confusing and difficult to navigate on your own.
You'll receive a personalized roadmap
At the end of your consultation, you’ll receive a summary of our discussion, including:
Key themes we explored
Support options that may suit your situation
Practical next steps
Relevant resources or referrals (where appropriate)
FAQ
What if I decide I want ongoing counselling?
Great. If we both feel it's an appropriate fit, we can discuss continuing together.
What if another service would suit me better?
I'll explain your options so you can make an informed decision.
Do I need a referral?
No - not for the service. Referrals can be facilitated on your behalf where requested/appropriate.
How many sessions will I need?
Most people will benefit from one consultation. Occasionally, a second or third session may be helpful if you would like additional support implementing your plan or reviewing your progress.
Will you diagnose me?
No. This consultation is not a diagnostic assessment. Where appropriate, I'll discuss whether further assessment with another qualified professional may be beneficial.
Is this a crisis service?
No. If in the process of our consultation however we identify that crisis services are most appropriate for you, I have a professional and ethical duty of care to make sure you are connected to those services. However, the consultation is not explicitly about providing support in cases of severe mental health crises. Those experiencing crises where they are concerned for their own or another’s immediate wellbeing should contact 000.
